Our name is a tribute to the local Potawatomi name for this region,“Che-Cau-Gua”, meaning the land of the wild onion (or stinking onion when translated directly!) Hundreds of years ago, the local Indians travelled the regional rivers and creeks by canoe, surrounded by the beautiful-yet odiferous-wild onion growing along the banks. Welcome to The Onion and Cheers!      - Currently On Tap - Paddy Pale Ale This American-style pale ale is our flagship brand, and celebrates the blending of intense hop character and crisp, malty mouthful.   5.4% ABV Amber Ale An amber-hued ale with a hint of roasted malt.   5.2% ABV Golden Lager A classic Bavarian-style lager that blends malt and hops together in a very smooth and drinkable way.   4.8% ABV Jack Stout A very full-bodied oatmeal stout with five different roasted malts and a thick, creamy texture - a meal in a glass!   6.5% ABV Solstice Jo Brewed to celebrate the longest days of the year, this very full bodied strong ale is for the serious beer drinker.
